A versatile journalist and meticulous proofreader, I produce impactful editorial including features, blogs, product copy and press releases. While my wheelhouse is equestrian publications, I easily adapt to writing for other audiences.
I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Equine Science with advanced knowledge across a variety of riding disciplines including related equestrian apparel, equine-specific products and consumer services. No matter your breed of horse or style in the saddle, combining my unique background with high-quality writing and supporting photography translates well to print and the Web.
My Background
I am a lifelong equestrian with over 25 years of experience in equine media, and I thrive on combining my love of horses and writing.
No question, I was born with one foot already in the stirrup. A Marylander growing up in the thick of equestrian sports, I spent my youth showing hunter/jumper ponies along the east coast. A move West to Colorado for college stirred a love for wide open spaces, the cowboy way of life, and all aspects of Western training and riding. Eventually, along with a move to Texas, I gravitated to the challenge and detailed discipline of dressage.
